March 23, 2026 Conference: Call for Presenters

Thank you for submitting a proposal to share a lesson or teaching strategy with your fellow mathematics educators in Connecticut and beyond.

The proposal review rubric is linked below. In your proposal, you will be asked for a short description to include in the program (80 word maximum) and an extended description for the conference reviewers to consider. 

2026 ATOMIC Conference Proposal Review Rubric

Sessions will all run for 60 minutes in length. Please be sure you think about the following seating arrangement prior to submitting your proposal. 

• Theater – Seats will be in rows facing the projector. Space will allow for participants to engage in gallery walks or collaborative work using vertical non-permanent surfaces. 
• Rounds – Seats will be arranged around tables. Space will allow for more group collaboration. In this arrangement, participants will find it difficult to walk around the perimeter of the room.
• Either – Either theatre or rounds is fine. This choice may increase your chance of your session being chosen.

In addition, you must choose one grade band for your proposal:

• All Educators

• Diving into Deep Mathematical Understanding
• Implementing Equitable Classroom Instruction
• Centering Marginalized Students
• Building Thinking Classrooms
• Infusing Mathematics with Literacy
• Integrating Technology
• Coaching, Coordinating, and Leading

Please also consider the following regarding technology:

• All rooms will have a projector, screen and speakers.
• You must provide your own computer. If you use an Apple device you must bring a dongle. No tablets of any kind will be supported. 
• Any additional material must be provided by the presenter.

We will review all submissions beginning in late October and will contact all those who submitted proposals once our review process is over.
