Samsung Solve for Tomorrow

This is a friendly reminder about the 15th annual Samsung Solve for Tomorrow contest! Currently, there are a lower-than-average number of applications from your CT, meaning teachers who apply have a greater opportunity to win one of the great prizes!

This nationwide STEM competition can fit into any school curriculum and invites public school students in grades 6-12, guided by their teachers to make a difference in their community using STEM, with a chance to win technology and classroom supplies along the way!

Now through Thursday, October 24th, (TWO WEEKS TO GO!) teachers have the chance to submit their application by answering a few simple questions. All in all, the application form only takes a few minutes, and all a teacher will need is one idea! You can even find some inspiration from past winners here.

This is a chance to win a share of the $2 million prize! And if a share of $2 million feels like just a dream…just know that after applications close5 schools from each state will be declared winners and earn at minimum $2,500 in technology for their classroom(s) before moving on to the next round!

Teachers who apply will also earn the chance to:

  • Become 1 of 15 randomly selected applicants to win a $150 DonorsChoose gift card.
  • Receive invitations to exclusive and free professional development workshops throughout the school year.
  • Participate in our teacher referral program and win $5,000 for your classroom from DonorsChoose.
  • Be 1 of 10 teams who advance to become National Finalists and are invited to our in-person Pitch Event (along with 3 students!).

Over the last 14 years of the Solve for Tomorrow competition, middle and high school students have stepped up and identified significant societal and environmental challenges, designing STEM-based solutions to address food waste, urban decay, social inequality, mental health, climate change, and so much more. We can’t wait to see what you and your students come up with!
