Dear colleague,
Would you like an opportunity to shape research in mathematics education by sharing what you do in your classroom and why you do it?
We are Dr. Kate Raymond, Associate Professor of Mathematics Education at the University of Oklahoma, and Dr. Melissa Gunter, Associate Professor of Mathematics Education at Central Connecticut State University. You are receiving this email because you are a secondary mathematics teacher, and we are working to understand more about what instructional practices are happening inside mathematics classrooms. In particular, we want to know about what practices you use most often, as well as how they align with your beliefs and the expectations of your administration.
To participate, please click on the link below, which will allow you to complete a consent form and an online survey. The survey should take approximately 15 minutes. It does not automatically collect identifiable information. At the end of the survey, you will be asked if you are willing to participate in an interview. If you are willing, you will be asked to provide an email address so that the interview can be scheduled.
Thank you for considering participating in this research. We value what you do with students every day and know how valuable your time is. If you have questions or concerns about participating, please reach out to Dr. Raymond (kate.m.raymond@ou.edu or 405-420-8360) or Dr. Gunter (mgunter@ccsu.edu or 860-832-0047) anytime.
Thank you for all that you do for students,
Drs. Raymond and Gunter
