CCLM invites you to join us for the first of this year's Virtual Events series:  Exploring Evidence-Based Instructional Strategies for ELs/MLs in the Mathematics Classroom. Tuesday, October 20th, 4:30-5:30 pm

This free webinar focuses on strengthening mathematics instruction for English learners/multilingual learners (ELs/MLs). We will explore evidence-based strategies for planning language objectives, facilitating student access, and supporting student communication. By engaging in mathematics tasks with embedded language support and reflecting on instruction, participants will examine strategies, structures, and questions that promote ELs’/MLs’ engagement and agency within mathematics classrooms. Participants will leave with an infographic to use and share that highlights strategies from the webinar.

The ATOMIC Mission is to ensure that every Connecticut student receives world-class education in mathematics by providing vision, leadership and support to the K-16 mathematics community and by providing every teacher of mathematics the opportunity to grow professionally.
