Connecticut Core Mathematics Users Conference

The Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) is offering this conference to support teachers in the implementation of the model curriculum for Geometry and Algebra 2.

Intended Audience: High School teachers using the state model curricula and math curriculum coordinators.

Time & Location: Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 8:30am – 12:30pm. Central Connecticut State University, New Britain, CT

Workshop session topics will include:

  • Connecticut Core Geometry Introduction
  • Connecticut Core Algebra 2 Introduction
  • Writing Proofs in Geometry (bring samples of student work)
  • Performance Tasks in Geometry (bring samples of student work)
  • Using Geogebra to Teach Transformations
  • Advanced Features of Geogebra (for current users)
  • Using TI-84 calculators in Algebra 3
  • Using Desmos in Algebra 2
  • Writing in Mathematics and Establishing Rubrics
